Nick Rattray

Nick Rattray is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. He earned a Bachelor of Music from UC Santa Cruz, where he received Highest Honors and the Hortense Zuckermann Prize for Excellence in Music Performance and Scholarship. In 2006 he began teaching under the mentorship of Brett Mutinelli, expert teacher and owner of The Young Singer’s Club. As a pianist, he studied with the fantastic Holly Mead in Oakland, and in the jazz program at Santa Barbara City College.


Under his stage name Nick Hours, he has released two albums, and is a founding member and producer of the bands Bygone Pecan and Glamour Pony. In 2015 his original musical Philia debuted at the Phoenix Theatre in downtown San Francisco, to great acclaim. He also performs regularly as a professional choral singer and soloist. Nick loves teaching students of all ages and styles.
